Steve J Murray is a Melbourne-based writer of picture books and short-form non-fiction. His journal entries from Paramount's Charlotte's Web appeared in Good Weekend magazine, and he has written for a range of publications across travel, entertainment, technology and sport.He has story-lined for Neighbours and worked across a range of Australian television productions, including the Channel 10 series Worst Best Friends, based on the books of Australian children's author Max Dann.He has spent many years in corporate and not-for-profit tech, working with one eye on a spreadsheet and the other on a manuscript.He writes about connection, community and finding your place. His first picture book manuscript, Blue Moon, is on submission, with further titles in development.

Picture book manuscript · Ages 4–8 · 500 words · On submissionA gentle bedtime story about empathy, friendship, belonging and the quiet ways a community looks after its own. The manuscript is complete and available; sample illustrations by Wenny Stefanie (shown) have been commissioned and can be provided on request.
